Learn how to properly connect with your core and pelvic floor and manage any symptoms such as incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain and discomforts.

THIS POSTNATAL CLASS IS FOR YOU IF:
  • You've given birth (inclusive to: pregnancy and infant loss mothers, to surrogates, to people who've given birth months or years ago)
  • You want to gain knowledge on your core and pelvic floor
  • You are experiencing pelvic pain or discomfort such as : pubic symphysis pain, sacro-iliac joint pain, incontinence, prolapse, etc. and would love to learn how to manage symptoms
  • You are new to exercise or strength training
  • You are looking to connect with other mothers
  • You are looking for guidance and answers to your questions regarding postpartum and motherhood
  • You want someone to do the workout planning for you!
 

Meet Your Coach

Martine Chiasson

I'm Martine, your prenatal and postnatal fitness coach.

I'm a certified kinesiologist specialized in prenatal and postnatal fitness, with a passion in supporting womxn along their motherhood journeys, whether trying to conceive, pregnant or postpartum.​ I'm also a mother to 3 children under the age of 5.

I believe exercise to not only be a physical movement, but an emotional one as well, meant to help us connect with ourselves and our community. Every womxn's journey is unique and different and our services reflect these exact needs.

I help womxn of all fitness levels continue to move in ways that feel good during pregnancy in order to prepare for birth. During the postpartum journey and motherhood, I guide and support the return to exercise while considering all physical and mental aspects. I can help you manage symptoms present during exercise, strengthen your core and pelvic floor, and get you on your way to achieving your goals, whatever these may be.

I also have a passion for advocating access to the education and resources we deserve in order for us to make educated choices and feel empowered as womxn and mothers.

If you join, you will have access to...

  • LIVE 60-minute classes coached 2x/week by Martine (That's me!)

  • Circuit based exercises (mobility, full body, low-impact, body weight, weighted, resistance bands)

  • Smaller group training so that you get the most out of the workout!

  • Access to class recordings for 12 months.

  • Time allotted for discussions regarding ALL of the things.

Breaking it down.

  • Sign-in twice a week via Zoom
  • Tuesdays - 10AM (AST), Thursdays - 10AM (AST)
  • 60 minute sessions including time for discussion
  • Wear comfortable attire (seriously, whatever you want!)
  • Equipment needed:
    • yoga mat​
    • light and medium weight dumbbells
    • bench or chair
    • resistance bands and loop band
    • 2 small towels

Look, if your baby or kids are joining us virtually, whether you invited them or not, don't worry...we're all in this together! We will be interrupted, that's just our reality! No shame!

Frequently asked questions

Can I join if I'm just a few weeks postpartum?


Although these classes are designed with modifications to meet you where you are, my hope is that you allow yourself time to rest and recover. This is essential to you being able to progress into connecting with your core and pelvic floor and challenging your body with exercise. This being said, I prefer you're at least 4-weeks postpartum with no post-birth complications. If you have any questions, send me an email HERE so we can further discuss :)




How long are the workouts?


Each session will be 60 minutes each. The actual time we spend moving will vary between 35-45 minutes!




What equipment do I need?


Suggested equipment that may be used during the workouts are: - yoga mat - light and medium set of dumbbells - resistance bands (open and closed loop) - bench or chair - set of small towels If you don't have access to some of this equipment, don't worry, we'll modify the exercise so that you can still participate!




I haven’t done exercises in years, can I still join?


YES! As mentionned above, these exercises are appropriate for all levels of fitness. We can modify exercises to meet you where you feel comfortable. The goal of this class is to strengthen your whole body, boost your mood and energy, and have you feeling confidant in moving your body in this chapter of life.




What if I miss a live class?


Great question! If you miss a live class you will have access to class recordings for a full 12 months.




Is this refundable?


This is not refundable. I am confident that you will absolutely enjoy our class however Motherhood is a journey, and we don't control all the variables of our journey. If something should happen or you are no longer medically cleared to exercise, please send me an email HERE so that we can further discuss :)




Is it okay if my children are present?


ABSOLUTELY! Being at home with children should not stop you from joining this class. There is no perfect environment or setting, so please feel free to have your children roam around if you wish to do so, or if you have no other choice. #Motherhood.




What type of exercises can I expect?


Great question! This class is meant to strengthen your whole body, therefore you can expect all types of different exercises such as: body weight, resistance banded exercises, weighted exercises as well as some relaxation poses and mobility work. This class is NOT a HIIT class nor does it have any impact exercises. We will focus on connecting with our core & pelvic floor so that you gain the confidence to return to the activities you love to do!




Is this class appropriate if I had a c-section?


YES! Absolutely! This class is appropriate for people who've had all types of deliveries. We will be adressing how birth impacts our pelvic floor and how to properly connect and rehabilitate in this new chapter. Cesarean recovery may require different strategies and I'd love to be of support to you along this journey!
